Mixed Berry Smoothie
One of the easiest and tastiest dishes you can make all year round, but especially in the summer, is a fresh and cold, smoothie bowl. All it requires is a blender! The recipe we are sharing here is a mixed berry smoothie made out of only 7 ingredients. However, smoothie bowls can be completely customized to fit your own personal tastes. They are also great to make ahead and store in the fridge in an airtight container. Smoothies can also be put in a to-go cup to bring along on a busy morning to make sure that you’re still getting a healthy breakfast in the morning. This smoothie is full of antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals to help you start your day off on the right foot.

If you are following a renal diet, we suggest avoiding bananas, citruses, and melons (except watermelon), due to the high potassium levels; but other than that, there are endless options to customize your smoothie. Different toppings, yogurts, and fruits make it so you could have a different smoothie every day of the week if you wanted! ¼ cup frozen blueberries
¼ cup frozen raspberries
½ cup strawberries (halved)
1 cup plain Greek yogurt
1 cup ice
1 tbsp honey
¼ cup granola
Place berries into a blender along with the Greek yogurt and ice. Blend on high until everything is smooth. When completely blended, pour the smoothie into a bowl and drizzle with honey and granola.
*If making ahead of time, do not put toppings on until you are ready to eat it to prevent them from getting soggy.
